Madalena Sánchez Zampaulo
Owner/CEO
Madalena is not like most language service company owners. She is also a translator and content writer herself. With a background in project management and her translation and interpreting experience, she opened ATS in 2010 and has maintained her own freelance practice through the years. Doing so allows her to fully understand both the needs of the client and the teams we work with. This type of perspective is vital to maintain consistently beneficial client/service provider relationships, which she believes is the secret to success.
Madalena has had the opportunity to travel and work outside the United States on several occasions, and she spends time in Spain and Brazil with her family whenever possible. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) and a Master of Arts degree in Spanish with an emphasis in Linguistics from the University of Louisville (UofL). She is also a Spanish and ATA-certified Portuguese to English translator. Madalena currently serves as President of the American Translators Association (ATA) and speaks at a variety of translation and interpreting industry events. She gives back to the translation and interpreting professions by writing about and providing training on online marketing for freelancers because she believes that when we share the value of what we do, we elevate our professions in the process.
